Building the Education Revolution Program (Question No. 582)

The Minister for Tertiary Education, Skills, Jobs and Workplace Relations has provided the following answer to the honourable member's question:

The tables provided at Attachment A—BER projects in the electorate of Capricornia, and Attachment B—BER projects in the electorate of Dawson, identify BER projects by school, BER program element (National School Pride [NSP]; Primary Schools for the 21st Century [P21]; and Science and Language Centres for 21st Century Secondary Schools[SLC]), project description (building type and purpose), building size (P21 and SLC only) and overall funding, broken down by Commonwealth funding and co-contribution (school or third party).

Building size for NSP projects is not reported. Funding under NSP was for minor capital works and maintenance projects.

The funding figures are as reported by education authorities to the Department of Education, Employment and Workplace Relations as at 31 July 2011.
