Mr Speaker, I rise on a point of order. If he was their union official rather than their minister, he would call them out on strike on this issue over their pay.

I'm surprised that Mr Baldwin would make such a silly comment. As an ex ADF member of 20 years service, I am glad that my MHR is asking these questions. However, the response by Mr Combet makes sense to me and it would appear that an overpayment to the RAAF personnel had occurred. The question was answered properly and for Mr Baldwin to make such a remark in response only diminishes my opinion of him.
