I move:
That there be laid on the table by the Minister representing the Minister for Home Affairs, by no later than 5 pm on Friday, 23 October 2026, copies of any documents held by the Minister for Home Affairs or his office or the Department of Home Affairs which contain modelling of the economic effects of the changes to migration settings announced by the minister at the National Press Club on 17 September 2026.

I seek leave to make a short statement.

The coalition will support this motion. However, it should be remembered that nearly two months ago, on 17 August, the Senate agreed to two motions from Senator Duniam seeking precisely this sort of information about Minister Burke's migration announcement at the National Press Club. The government ultimately responded to those OPDs, but it did not provide the substantive documents that the coalition had sought. Just as we did back then, we expect the government to fully comply with today's OPD.
Question agreed to.
