On behalf of Senator Dean Smith, I move:

That—

(a) the Senate notes that order for production of documents no. 383, relating to under-16 social media accounts, has not been complied with; and

(b) if the order is not fully complied with by midday on Wednesday, 25 March 2026:

(i) the Minister representing the Minister for Communications attend the Senate on Thursday, 26 March 2026, immediately before government business is called on, to provide an explanation, of no more than 5 minutes, of the failure to fully comply with the order, and

(ii) any senator may move to take note of the explanation (5 minutes per speaker; 30 minutes overall).
