At the request of Senator Dean Smith, I move:

That the Senate—

(a) notes that:

(i) the response to order for the production of documents no. 100, relating to the release of all volumes of the incoming government brief prepared by the Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water for the incoming minister after the May 2025 federal election, as agreed to on 26 August 2025, was due by midday on Monday, 1 September 2025, and

(ii) the Minister representing the Minister for Climate Change and Energy has failed to comply with the order; and

(b) requires the Minister representing the Minister for Climate Change and Energy to comply with the order by no later than midday on Thursday, 4 September 2025.
