At the request of Senator Dean Smith, I move:

That—

(a) the Treasury Laws Amendment (Better Targeted Superannuation Concessions and Other Measures) Bill 2023 be divided into two bills and amended in accordance with the amendments on sheet 3191, to create two bills as follows:

(i) Treasury Laws Amendment (Better Targeted Superannuation Concessions) Bill 2023—containing Schedules 1 to 3, and

(ii) Treasury Laws Amendment (Miscellaneous Measures) Bill 2024—containing Schedules 4 to 8;

(b) the bills be printed; and

(c) further consideration of each bill be an order of the day for the next day of sitting.
