Labor supports the Tertiary Education Quality and Standards Agency Amendment Bill 2019, but notes that the recommendations of the TEQSA review, to which this bill responds, were provided to the government three years ago. This is an unacceptable delay and again highlights this government's incompetent treatment of Australia's world-class higher education system. We commend the bill to the Senate.
