The government has consulted extensively on the bill, and the Minister for Communications and the Arts has written this week to directly respond to concerns raised by several stakeholders. An inquiry will only serve to delay passage of this important legislation to assist Australian creators in the fight against online piracy and theft of their work.

Question agreed to.
