I inform the Senate that I have received a letter from Senator Dastyari resigning his place as a senator for the state of New South Wales. Pursuant to section 21 of the Constitution, I have notified the governor of New South Wales of the vacancy in the representation of that state caused by this resignation. I table the letter and a copy of my letter to the Governor of New South Wales.
