The motion I just moved in the Senate reports to a Corruption and Crime Commission report that came out in Western Australia just last week. It truly is a shocking story. It is an indictment of the way the police have conducted potentially many interviews, and it needs national attention, because it really does go to justice matters. It has not yet received much attention from the WA government. It talks about a potential miscarriage of justice. It talks about criminal investigations being undertaken in a most unfair way and against the criminal act. It also goes to issues such as the sorts of moneys available for criminal justice investigations that sit at the heart of the Commonwealth government.
