Immigration and Citizenship: Advertising and Marketing (Question No. 2514)

asked the Minister representing the Minister for Immigration and Citizenship, upon notice, on 2 November 2012:

(1) How much has the department spent on advertising and marketing since November 2007.

(2) Can a complete list of current contracts be provided, indicating the rationale for each service provided and its intended use.

The Minister for Immigration and Citizenship has provided the following answer to the honourable senator's question:

(1) From the 1 July 2012 until 2 November 2012, the department has spent $34 332.13 GST inclusive on advertising.

(2) The Department of Immigration and Citizenship currently does not have any advertising or marketing contracts. It is required to place its non-campaign advertising through the master media agency, Adcorp Australia Limited and campaign advertising through master placement agency, Universal McCann.
