I indicate to the Senate that these bills are being introduced together. After debate on the motion for the second reading has been adjourned, I will be moving a motion to have the bills listed separately on the Notice Paper. I move:

That the following bills be introduced: A Bill for an Act to amend the Ombudsman Act 1976 to establish the Education Ombudsman, and for related purposes; and a Bill for an Act to establish an independent Office of the Commonwealth Commissioner for Children and Young People, and for related purposes.
