The President has received a letter from the Leader of the Opposition in the Senate, Senator Abetz, nominating a senator to be a member of the Council of the National Library of Australia.

That, in accordance with the provisions of the National Library Act 1960, the Senate elect Senator Trood to be a member of the Council of the National Library of Australia on and from 13 June 2010, for a period of 3 years.
