- That so much of the standing orders be suspended as would prevent this resolution having effect.

- That immediately upon receipt of the Renewable Energy (Electricity) Amendment Bill 2009 and the Renewable Energy (Electricity) (Charge) Amendment Bill 2009 from the House of Representatives the bills have precedence over all government business until determined.
