It is with deep regret that I inform honourable senators of the death on Monday, 2 April 2007 of Senator Jeannie Margaret Ferris, who served Australia and South Australia with distinction in this place from 1996. I will call the Leader of the Government in the Senate, Senator Minchin, to move a condolence motion at 2 pm today.
