Labor supports this bill. It will assist the rollout of Australia's vaccine program and, as such, should be supported by the entire Senate. However, this bill will not ensure we have a well-trained workforce ready in place to administer vaccines. It will not ensure GPs will be registered to administer vaccines, and it will not ensure the online vaccine booking system will function smoothly.

The Prime Minister has said all Australians who wish to be vaccinated will be by the end of October. We want the Prime Minister to keep his promise. We urge the government to address all the logistical issues around the vaccine rollout urgently.
