I just want to make a few remarks to reflect on the historic reform to our electoral system that is about to pass the Senate and again thank the opposition for the constructive approach that they have taken to this bill. This bill, once it is legislated, will effect a ban on foreign political donations to further strengthen the integrity of our electoral system. It will ensure that all relevant political actors have to comply with the same or similar transparency of disclosure and reporting requirements.
