To move:

That the Minister for Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry, on the next day of sitting, report to the Senate on the failure of the Prime Minister (Ms Gillard) to uphold the Tasmanian Forests Intergovernmental Agreement between the Commonwealth of Australia and the State of Tasmania, in particular clauses 25 to 27 which stipulated immediate protection of 430000 hectares of high conservation value forests where logging, including clear-felling and burning of ancient forests and wildlife habitat, is continuing.

To move:

That the President of the Senate report to the Senate on the next day of sitting on whether the Committee of Privileges is endangered with politicisation by 'SLAPP' writ style references, such as that of Senator Kroger on 22 November 2011, which was publicised by the Leader of the Opposition in the Senate (Senator Abetz) before any adjudication was possible.

To move:

That the Senate—

(a) notes the growing support for a sovereign wealth fund (SWF); and

(b) calls on the Government to reconsider a SWF for Australia to be funded with the proceeds of an expanded mining tax.
