My question is to the Minister representing the Minister for Families, Housing, Community Services and Indigenous Affairs, Senator Evans. If the government are so keen to help pensioners, why are they reducing benefits to 17,000 individuals in receipt of pension and allowance payments from July 2009 under changes to income definitions used to assess entitlements?
