Before I call the member for New England, I'm pleased to advise the House of some guests in the gallery today, including, on the floor of the parliament, the Hon. Stephen Price MLA, the 32nd Speaker of the Western Australian Legislative Assembly. He's joined by Mathew Bates, the Clerk of the WA Legislative Assembly, and Lucy Roberts, the Serjeant-at-Arms of the WA Legislative Assembly. I'm pleased to also welcome Victoria Cross recipient Dan Keighran VC as a guest of the member for Herbert. Also present in the gallery today are a group of foreign affairs advisers from other parliaments in South-East Asia and the Pacific. I'm also pleased to welcome retired Australian Army veteran Scott Harris OAM as a guest of the member for Dickson. Following 22 years of service in the ADF, Scott has dedicated his life to veteran advocacy, playing a pivotal role in establishing the independent veterans suicide register, championing the Royal Commission into Defence and Veteran Suicide and volunteering hundreds of hours each month to support veterans and their families as a compensation advocate, welfare officer and a mentor at the Bray Park Strathpine RSL.
