Migration

My question is to the Prime Minister. Did the Treasurer or cabinet approve the $7 billion humanitarian intake increase? Does the Prime Minister rule out any cut to the humanitarian immigration intake?
Mr Tony Burke Watson, Australian Labor Party, Leader of the House

I refer specifically to the last part of the question about ruling out a cut. The concept of making it clear that there would not be a cut is exactly the decision that is being referred to in this question. This government, when we came to office, made clear that we'd be boosting the humanitarian program to 20,000 places. It remains at 20,000 places.
