The Speaker has received advice that the Chief Government Whip (received by the Speaker on 3 July 2026, pursuant to standing order 229(b)) and Chief Opposition Whip (received by the Speaker on 6 July 2026, pursuant to standing order 229(b)) had nominated changes in the membership of the Joint Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs and Trade. In accordance with standing order 229b as the House was not expected to sit for several weeks, the discharges became effective on those dates.
