It is 1 July, and, from today, millions of Australians will be seeing the benefits of the Albanese Labor government's cost-of-living plan come into effect. Australians are receiving another tax cut. Three million workers are receiving a pay rise, including an increase to the national minimum wage, because we want Aussies to earn more and keep more of what they earn. Workers will also benefit from payday super, which ensures superannuation is paid alongside wages, helping tackle unpaid super and grow retirement savings. Small businesses will have greater certainty with which to invest and grow, with Labor making the $20,000 instant asset write-off permanent. Paid parental leave is expanding to six months, with more support for families. One hundred and thirty-seven Medicare urgent care clinics will now be permanent, ensuring Australians can receive access to free health care close to home where all they need is their Medicare card, not their credit card. Thirty-three endometriosis and pelvic pain clinics are open right now, providing the specialist care that women need and deserve. This is Labor delivering for all Australians.
