Here are some people the government should be listening to about a 25 per cent tax on gas exports instead of the gas lobbyists. Jakub asks:

How is it possible that the government of Japan collects more taxes from reselling Australian gas than the government of Australia?

Great question, Jakub. Alan says:

both sides of politics have been compromised by the GAS and MINERALS industries. Money is changing hands constantly … TAX GAS.

Jason says:

stop the donations, gifts, sponsorships, whatever you wanna call it, from these big corporations. Major conflict of interest and having an influence on a decision.

Julia says:

by not taxing gas corporations they are alienating the very people who voted for them, which was the majority of us. Tax the gas!

Dean says:

Tax the gas

Niyazi says:

Tax the gas

Robert says:

Tax the gas

Chris says:

Tax the gas. Now!

Rosa says:

Tax them!

Ash says:

My wife is a teacher and constantly told "we can't afford pay rises"—and rightly points out that education, along with other public services, could be funded with the $17 billion this tax would raise.

Kieran says:

Our Gas sales should be beneficial to Our Children's Children, not Multinational corporations.

Hear, hear!
