I inform the House that it is my intention to issue a writ on Wednesday 1 April 2026 for the election of a member to serve for the electoral division of Farrer in the state of New South Wales to fill the vacancy caused by the resignation of the Hon. Sussan Ley. The dates in connection with the by-election will be fixed as follows: close of rolls—Wednesday 8 April 2026; close of nominations—Monday 13 April 2026; polling day—Saturday 9 May 2026; return of writ—on or before Friday 10 July 2026.
