That this bill be now read a second time.

Appropriation (Parliamentary Departments) Bill (No. 2) provides additional appropriations of $9.2 million for the operations of parliamentary departments, specifically the Department of the House of Representatives and the Department of Parliamentary Services, for the remainder of 2025-26.

Full details of the proposed expenditure are set out in the schedule to the bill, the explanatory memorandum, and the portfolio additional estimates statements.

I commend this bill to the chamber.
