Today in question time, the Minister for Communications badly misrepresented comments I've made regarding the government's social media ban. The minister told the chamber I said yesterday that, in hindsight, I would not have supported the law. That is incorrect, and the minister needs to tell the truth. I said that I want it to work the way it is intended for Australian kids. I fear the rushed nature, the drip-feeding of platforms and now the revelation that a digital ID might be required are causing doubt and uncertainty. The minister needs to stop doing PR trips to New York during a triple 0 crisis and make this work for Australian children.

Sorry, member for Lindsay, you can't add those things at the end. You just have to claim where you've been misrepresented and not give commentary when you use that. There has been far too much abuse of that process.
