I report to the House the sad news that former ministers in the Hawke government John Kerin and Stewart West have both passed away today. We will have formal recognition of their contribution to this parliament after we consult with the families involved. I expect that that probably won't be tomorrow. It most likely will be on budget day. But I think it's important that we note this very sad passing.
