My question is to the Minister for the Environment and Water. The Prime Minister said yesterday that gas must play a key role in providing peaking and firming power for Australian businesses and households. Does the minister agree that gas will play a crucial role in providing secure energy supply for Australians? How many gas projects has the minister approved since been sworn in?
Tanya Plibersek Sydney, Australian Labor Party, Minister for the Environment and Water
Yes, it will play a crucial role, and I'm not going to comment on individual assessments.
