Mr Speaker, in relation to the thanks about the length of the sitting hours that we have just gone through, I wanted to raise my concern that, only one day after the delivery of the statement acknowledging the Jenkins review recommendations, such a lengthy sitting was in direct contradiction to the recommendation that a review of the hours of operation to ensure a safe work place of parliament should occur. I would ask that that be noted, because I strongly believe it was disrespectful to all staff in Parliament House to insist upon sitting to 4.40 in the morning.
