Again today the Prime Minister repeated his statement, in relation to COVID, that I was 'hoping for the worst'. This is wrong and offensive. The worst outcome from COVID is the loss of life, which, tragically, over 1,000 families in Australia have felt. The suggestion by the Prime Minister says a lot about his character and undermines the dignity of the House. It should not be repeated in this House.
