by leave—I wish to correct the record in relation to the Broadcasting Legislation Amendment (2021 Measures No. 1) Bill 2021, introduced in the House this morning. When introducing the bill there was an error in the second reading speech which referred to measures in relation to regional captioning which are not included in the bill. I would like to clarify that the bill introduced does not remove requirements on regional and remote broadcasters to provide captions beyond those provided by metropolitan broadcasters.
