Before I start—I don't mean to be rude—a couple of things have been out of order during this small process of the committees presenting their reports. One was a deputy using it as a party political stance. This is usually where the chair gets up and makes a brief statement about the report, and we don't make partisan remarks about a report. Secondly, any other speakers are to be as brief as the presenter, but I don't want to set a precedent.

On behalf of the Joint Standing Committee on Treaties, I present the committee's report, incorporating dissenting reports, entitled Report 183: Aspects of the Peru-Australia Free Trade Agreement revisited.

Report made a parliamentary paper in accordance with standing order 39(e).

I move:

That the House take note of the report.

I thank the honourable member for McMillan for his report and his observations. The debate is adjourned. The resumption of the debate will be made an order of the day for the next day of sitting.
