I wish to congratulate and thank those Kingsford Smith locals who recently received Australia Day honours. They include: former CEO and Executive Director of Surfing New South Wales Mark 'Winny' Windon; the Australian Centre for International Commercial Arbitration President Alexander Baykitch; gold medallist in the 2016 Rio Paralympics in wheelchair rugby Andrew Edmondson; advocate for people living with HIV-AIDS John Michael Rock; Margery Whitehead, who has volunteered over many, many years with numerous local organisations; UNSW associate professor and obstetric physician at the Royal Hospital for Women, Dr Sandra Lowe; the late Eric Robinson, who was awarded posthumously for service to the field of audio and lighting; and, last but by certainly no means least, legendary singer, songwriter and rocker Jimmy Barnes, who was awarded for distinguished service to the performing arts and support for not-for-profit organisations, particularly for children with a disability. On behalf of our community, I congratulate you and thank you for your service to our community and to our nation. Your elevation to the order reflects your service, commitment and dedication to our community. Our community is very proud of you. Congratulations.
