My question is to the Minister for Foreign Affairs representing the Attorney-General. Yesterday I asked the minister what senior role was offered to the President of the Australian Human Rights Commission, what consultation occurred with other senior members of the government and whether this role was offered with the authority of the Prime Minister. The minister said she would come back to the House with an answer. What was the alternative role the government wanted Professor Triggs to take?
