My question is to the Treasurer. Millions of Australians are worried about the GP tax. Treasurer, is it the case that patients will not be hit by the Medicare co-payment if they suffer chronic illnesses?

It was outlined in the budget papers, and he is absolutely right in relation to chronic illnesses. In relation to the claim it is a GP tax, he is wrong: it is a payment for service.
