House debates Questions without Notice
Assistant Treasurer
Bill Shorten Maribyrnong, Australian Labor Party, Leader of the Opposition
2:26 pm
My question is to the Prime Minister. Yesterday, the Prime Minister said that he had full confidence in Assistant Treasurer Sinodinos. Today, Senator Sinodinos is no longer the Assistant Treasurer. Prime Minister, what changed in the last 24 hours?
Tony Abbott Warringah, Liberal Party, Prime Minister
I suppose I can understand the Leader of the Opposition trying to see something wrong in all of this.

There will be silence on my left! You asked the question; the answer is being given.

I want to make it crystal clear that what we see here is a member of this parliament doing the right and the honourable thing, which is what you would expect from someone like Senator Sinodinos, who has given our country such long, faithful and decent service.
