On indulgence: for the information of members, following consultation with the Manager of Opposition Business, it is our intention that the House sit until 11 pm this evening, with the adjournment debate to commence at 10.30 pm. The purpose of the extended hours is to enable the House, before the end of the year’s sittings, to progress debate on its important legislative agenda, in particular the Fair Work Bill, on which 49 members remain to speak.
