Mr Speaker has received messages from the Senate acquainting the House of the appointment of senators to certain joint committees:

(a)
From 1 July 2008, Senators Arbib, Coonan and Marshall are to be appointed members of the Parliamentary Joint Committee on Corporations and Financial Services, Senator Cameron is to be appointed a member of the Parliamentary Joint Committee on the Australian Commission for Law Enforcement Integrity, and Senators Boyce and Bushby are to be appointed members of the Joint Committee of Public Accounts and Audit;
(b)
From 1 July 2008, Senator Polley is to be discharged from the Joint Standing Committee on Migration, and Senator Bilyk is to be appointed a member of the committee, and Senators Bushby, Marshall and Sterle are to be discharged from the Joint Standing Committee on Treaties, and Senators Cash, Farrell, McGauran and Pratt are to be appointed members of the committee;
(c)
From 1 July 2008, Senators Arbib, Ferguson and O’Brien are to be appointed members of the Joint Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs, Defence and Trade, and Senators Bilyk and Cameron are to be appointed members of the Joint Standing Committee on the Parliamentary Library; and
(d)
From 26 August 2008, Senator Hogg is to be discharged from the Joint Committee of Public Accounts and Audit, and Senator Feeney is to be appointed a member of the committee.
