My question is directed to the Prime Minister. How does the Prime Minister reconcile his claim that the Future Fund should only be used for funding public sector superannuation with comments from the communication minister, Senator Coonan, yesterday, who said of the super liabilities in the Future Fund, ‘and at a point when they are met you might then consider what else you might do with it’? Does Senator Coonan’s answer fundamentally undermine the Prime Minister’s previous answer?

The answer is no.
