Bob is actually wrong on this rare occasion. THE ALP do not want to sell off the Electricity Industry they just want to spend the money they can get from selling off the power stations.
They are like the drunk who has just been given a gold watch by his employer which he is proudly wearing when he walks past Cash Converters and thinks If I sold the watch I could spend the rest of the day in the Town and Country where the atmosphere is great.
The pleasure of wearing the watch is too much of a burden when walking past the pawn broker so the benefits of immediate drunkenness outweigh the long term benefits of watch possession.
THe ALP will today debate its National Platform and at the end of the day the ALP will still be a Fabian Socialist Party but they will not be able to walk past the next election without selling off assets to their opponents.
